to Kaleialoha--The Lei of Love! Ever dreamed of Hawaii vacations?
Well, our dream became a reality when we got married on Maui in 1991. We
fell in love with Maui and kept coming back every year on our anniversary.
In 1995, we got tired of the Maui hotels and other maui vacation
rentals so we decided we wanted a more permanent home. We looked around
for the best place to be and purchased a condo on the ocean at Kaleialoha.
Eventually, we want to live on Maui full-time, but for now we live in Texas.
We felt others might want to enjoy our home away from home, so we rent
out our home when we aren't there. Now that you've found us, we can give
you an internet discount. (We'll tell you about that in a bit).
Hawaii is the land
of rainbows and you see them constantly in Maui. Hawai'ians say Maui
No Ka Oi, which means Maui is The Best. If you have never been to
the Valley Isle, you should know a bit about the weather here. The
southern part of Maui (Wailea and Kihei) gets pretty windy. In West
Maui -- where we are -- the mountains block much of the wind.
Lahaina is the hottest spot with the least wind; Kapalua gets more
wind and is cooler and wetter. We are between those two with what we think
is the best weather on Maui and certainly best sunsets.
Kaleialoha is a 4-story condominium project set just feet from the Pacific ocean. Our complex has one-bedroom apartments with fabulous ocean-front views of our reef with its resident sea turtles, and the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i. The sun sets between the two islands, across the sea. #215 at Kaleialoha is a modern condo right on the ocean. Our lanai is perfect for breakfast to watch the turtles on our reef, or whales in season, or for simply enjoy a cocktail at sunset. If the surf's up, it is fun to watch the surfers. If the surf is not up then the snorkeling on our reef is good, where the sea turtles, coral and fish await your swim.
love our "home away from home" and think that you will too. In fact, there
is a bit of history with the condo. For those of a certain age, you
might remember the song Runaway by Del Shannon. Well, our
home was Del's private runaway. Del and his wife used to come to
Maui to get away from it all. Alas, Del died in 1990. We bought
it from his wife Shirley five years later. Use the email button below
to check on availability.
