Welcome to Kaleialoha, Unit 215 in West Maui.
Welcome to Paradise!
This is a look inside our home. We have all the things you should want or need during your stay. You can click on any picture to see a bigger version of it. We added air conditioning, though we doubt you will ever need it since the whole north wall is windows. With the trade winds out of the north, you simply open one of these windows and let the breeze gently cool you. Ceiling fans are in both the living room and bedroom. There is a color television complete with cable for the network stations out of Honolulu, and ESPN, CNN,The Golf Channel and the Disney Channel
In our bedroom we made certain there was a king-sized bed for your comfort! Again, the floor to ceiling windows allow the trade winds to gently caress you as you sleep. There is a large closet, a built-in dresser with plenty of drawers for storage, along with our two nightstands. We've also added full length mirrors on the closet and a built-in vanity to make getting dressed for a night out much easier.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator (with ice maker), dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, an electric range and stove. And there are all the usual things you'll need from dishes, flatware, utensils and glasses to pots and pans. We've made certain there is a coffee maker (with plenty of filters), water filter and a microwave. We supply all the linens you'll need. There is an iron and ironing board. We also have a stacked washer and dryer right in the house!
One of the best parts of our home in paradise is our lanai. We spend countless hours out here watching the ocean, or as we often call it "Lake Maui". We use our table and chairs on the lanai to begin the day with our morning kona coffee and breakfast. We find our mainland internal clocks get us up early, sometimes before sun rise, and this is a wonderful spot to watch the sun slowly rise from behind the West Maui mountains and bring the new day first to Molokai and Lanai, then the light scampers across the ocean to bless Maui. We also spend a great deal of time watching the sea-turtles who live in our reef, just a few feet off shore. Or during the whale season, we spent hours watching the humpbacks breech and play. Other times when the surf is up, the surfers provide free entertainment. By the way, our reef is perfect for snorkeling. It is quite shallow fairly far out and loaded with colorful fish. You can get to the reef via our wading beach at the south end of the property.Walking around our grounds can be a delight as well. You will see beautiful tropical plants and enjoy a private hideaway near our barbecue.
Or just take a dip in our heated pool.
